Denton police said they are looking for information about a baby who was left in the middle of an intersection Sunday.
A woman told police she found a male infant between 3 and 4 months old in a car seat in the intersection of Audra and Nottingham at about 8 p.m. on Sunday. The woman said the baby was not crying and did not appear to have any visible injuries.
She said another woman pulled up in a four-door Mazda sedan, yelled and cursed at her and then demanded the baby, the Denton Record-Chronicle reported. The first woman handed over the baby, and the other woman sped away, the newspaper reported.
The first woman described the other woman as a black woman who is 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds with shoulder-length curly hair. She was wearing black pajama bottoms, a white T-shirt with black writing and wore a dark blue or black bandana in her hair.
The baby was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
A woman and child matching those descriptions went to an area hospital and said the baby hit his head, police said.
Denton police said they are looking for the woman and want to check on the child's condition.
