The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a Texas man has drowned on the Oklahoma side of the Red River.
The OHP said 28-year-old Louis Jackson of Denison was found in the river Sunday afternoon and his body recovered from about seven feet of water by the Colbert Fire Department.
An OHP report said Jackson had been fishing with a family member at the Denison Dam on Saturday when he went to sleep in a vehicle, but had disappeared when the family member returned to the vehicle.
The report said Jackson was not wearing a flotation device.
