Authorities released new information Monday about an undercover sting operation that resulted in the arrests of 16 men accused of trying to have sex with children.
The Attorney General's Child Exploitation Unit, the Cleburne and Burleson police departments and the Johnson County Special Crimes Unit announced the results of a joint undercover sting operation.
Investigators posed as 14- and 15-year-old girls online and spoke to more than a hundred people. Authorities arrested 16 of the men, who agreed to meet their victims at parks in Burleson and Cleburne.
Three teams of 5 to 8 officers met the men who traveled to the parks. The suspects were arrested without incident.
Those arrested include men ranging between the ages of 21 and 67. Several reside in the DFW area.
