Authorities: Houston-Area Man, 75, Admits He Killed Fiancee in 1983

Noel Leon King Jr. admitted to investigators he fractured his fiancee's skull during an argument

A 75-year-old Houston-area man is accused of murder in the 1983 death of a woman who authorities identified as his fiancee.

Noel Leon King Jr. of La Porte was being held Saturday in the Montgomery County jail on $300,000 bond. The Houston Chronicle reports King admitted to investigators that he fractured the skull of 28-year-old Teresa Brignoni during an argument, leading him to panic and place her body in his car. She was found dead in Conroe.

King was investigated at the time, but a friend provided an alibi. Investigators who re-opened the case interviewed the friend's aunt, who said her nephew told her he gave King an alibi.

King, arrested Wednesday, didn't have an attorney listed in court records. A phone number listed for him was disconnected.
