The city's to-do list now feels endless; its problems, insurmountable. As we prepare to sit down and talk about the future of Dallas at the April 29 Dallas Festival of Ideas — which sounds more jovial than it probably ought to — let's first consider our precarious present.
Only then can we be honest about our future.
