Garland police have arrested and charged two people with capital murder in the death of 40-year-old Eber Avilez.
Avilez was shot and killed during a robbery May 16 after being lured behind a building on the 3100 block of Lamesa Drive, polie said . [[307011431,L]]
Investigators said Erica Uribe convinced Avilez to follow her behind the building where Xavier Tyrell Smith was believed to be waiting to rob him.
During the course of the robbery, Smith is believed to have shot and killed Avilez, police said
Avilez's body was later foud behind the building.
Uribe, arrested in Dallas Wednesday, is currently being held in the Garland Detention Center.Smith, who was arrested in Marshall on Wednesday, is being transported to Garland Thursday, officals said.
