Arlington city leaders issued a cease-and-desist order to a swingers club located in the middle of a neighborhood.
Owners of the club known as Eutopia advertise their lifestyle parties online and accept donations from their guests. City leaders like Jay Warren said they're actually running a business, which is not allowed.
"There's something going on here that goes beyond what is zoned for that area," he said. "It's a neighborhood. It's where people live. A business happening there."
City leaders sent a letter to the owners of the property in the 2400 block of North Cooper Street to tell them they were violating city ordinance by running a business because money is exchanged.
David Esopenko, co-owner of the house that hosts the Eutopia parties, denied being considered a business. He told NBC 5 that they accept donations, but do not charge people money.
Esopenko said they plan to continue hosting parties despite the cease-and-desist order.
