Proposed changes to Arlington's smoking laws will be discussed at Tuesday's City Council meeting.
Arlington Citizens for Clean Air is calling for changes to be made to the current city smoking ordinance.
The current city ordinance passed in 2006 bans smoking within 50 feet of most buildings and requires that "no smoking" signs be posted at the public entrances of all establishments that prohibit smoking.

Arlington Citizens for Clean Air wants all ashtrays and smoking receptacles to be moved 50 feet away from any building entrance. The group is also asking that businesses post signs advising patrons that smoking is banned 50 feet from all entrances.
