Arlington Closing Tornado Recovery Center

Center to close Monday at 5 p.m.

The city of Arlington is closing their Tornado Recovery Center for good at 5 p.m. Monday.

Tornado recovery operations will continue after Monday. After that time, all future inquiries for assistance should be made through the city's action center line at 817-459-6777.

Contractors are still required to have daily permits and some neighborhoods will still require credentials for residential access.

The city had designated the West Police Service Station the recovery center after an EF-2 tornado touched down along several parts of city's southwest side last Tuesday.

In all, more than 420 structures were damaged and Mayor Robert Cluck declared the city a disaster area.

Following the declaration, access to several southwest Arlington neighborhoods was restricted to credentialed residents only.

NBC 5's Mola Lenghi contributed to this report.
