Arlington Approves $1.4 Million for Police Body Cameras

The City of Arlington has approved a $1.4 million deal to buy police body cameras.

The city must receive the cameras by the end of September, or it could lose a $225,000 grant that will help pay for them.

Public demand for the cameras grew after an Arlington officer shot and killed Christian Taylor at a car dealership in 2015.

Last year, the department tested the devices.
