Thursday will be very cold all day long with most places not getting out of the 30s. The last time it was this cold was right before Christmas. The daytime high on December 15th was 39 degrees and on December 16th only 34.
The center of the coldest air will move to our northeast bringing much of the United States the coldest air in quite some time. We will just get grazed with the arctic airmass which means we should begin warming up for the weekend.
So far this season, the coldest morning was December 21st when we fell to 24 degrees at DFW Airport.
