Anna Police Locate Missing Mother of Four

Anna police said Friday they found a missing 35-year-old woman who had last been seen leaving her home Wednesday afternoon.

Yvonne Chavez had not been seen since telling her father-in-law she was going to a nearby Wal-Mart to buy a few items for dinner.

Chavez's bank account shows a charge for $20.03 at a gas station just minutes from her home on Hazel's Way in Anna, without any activity after.

Police said they tried pinging her phone with no luck, because it was either turned off or the battery died.

For the tight-knit family, every moment is agony.

"She's our rock, she's our soul. She's our foundation of this family. We wouldn't be the family we are today if it wasn't for her. And she wouldn't abandon that," said her husband, Ben Lozano.

Lozano said he knew something was wrong when the family hadn't heard from Chavez after just one hour. Lozano said she constantly keeps in touch with him and their four children – ages 13, 14, 16 and 20 – through calls and texts.

"At this point, we don't have a clue. We feel helpless. We just want her home," Lozano said through tears. "You just kind of think the worst, because this is not her. This is not like her."

The family moved to Anna from El Paso about a year-and-a-half ago to be closer to relatives.
