Denton police continue to investigate after issuing an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old boy whose mother was found dead Saturday.
Police want to find 4-year-old Ricardo Alekzander Lara and say there is a strong possibility he is with his father, 23-year-old Ricardo Lara Martinez. Police said Martinez is a person of interest in the child’s disappearance and the death of 27-year-old Maria Isabel Romero Medina.
Denton police said they received a tip from someone who said the boy and his father were possibly spotted at a Houston convenience store, but police have been unable to confirm it.

NBC 5 has learned Martinez has ties to Springfield, Missouri, Chicago and Mexico City.
Martinez is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes.
The child is described as a white male, approximately 3 feet tall and 55 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police were called at about 4:49 p.m. to Sanchez Insurance and Tax in the 1100 block of East McKinney Street, where a customer attempted to enter but found the door locked during normal business hours. That customer called an employee, who arrived and opened the door to find Medina dead inside.
Police said Medina was last heard from between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday when text messages were sent from her phone to her family. Her family said she didn’t come home Friday night.
Police said the initial investigation indicates Medina's death is an apparent homicide.
