Some awards for outstanding horsemanship have been stolen from an arena in the Texas Panhandle.
Amarillo police on Tuesday announced the search for 30 trophies that were to have been awarded by the American Quarter Horse Association.
Cpl. Sean Slover says the trophies were scheduled to be presented last weekend at the Adequan Select World Championship Show in Amarillo.
Investigators believe the bronze-, silver- and gold-plated trophies were taken last Thursday from a storage area inside the Amarillo National Center.
Amarillo police say the trophies are worth thousands of dollars.
