An off-duty police officer was injured after his weapon accidentally fired, striking him in the leg.
Fort Worth police said they were called shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday to a shooting in the 5000 block of Bomford Drive. Officers said an off duty DFW Airport police officer was adjusting his holster and accidentally shot himself in the leg.
The officer was taken to a downtown Fort Worth hospital in good condition.
