Officials with the TPC Four Seasons at Las Colinas golf course probably spent a sleepless night last night as wicked storms pummeled the area.
Their restlessness proved founded after they discovered that hail damaged the course just days before the first tee shot of this year’s Byron Nelson Championship.
One day before the pro-am round.
Acres -- acres? -- of beautifully manicured golf course, particularly the greens, now look like an acne-scarred adolescent facescape from 4,000 divots gouged by hail from yesterday's storms.
'It looks like 18 perfect greens with about 4,000 divots," said Four Seasons director of golf Paul Earnest -- quoted in a Dallas Morning News report -- "as he leveled marks on No. 18 by hand."

And fill they are, scrambling to replace all those God-given divots before tomorrow’s 9 a.m. tee time for the opening round.
It wasn’t just hail damage, either. High-velocity winds took down tree limbs and such, and blew in other forms of jetsam that must be removed.
God is good, God is great, but this just shows he’s hell on the golf course.
