AAA: Texas, US Retail Gasoline Prices Decline This Week

Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices have declined this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported prices at the pump statewide slipped 3 cents to settle at $2.63 per gallon. Drivers across the country are paying an average $2.86 per gallon, which is down 2 cents from a week ago.

Dallas drivers are seeing prices at an average of $2.61 per gallon - six cents less than last week.

The association survey found Midland has the most expensive gasoline in Texas this week at an average $3.12 per gallon. Three cities have the cheapest gasoline in Texas -- San Antonio, McAllen and Amarillo -- at an average $2.53 per gallon.

AAA experts say the crude oil supply is starting to keep pace with demand.
