Retail gasoline prices across Texas have jumped 19 cents this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump was $1.82 per gallon. Nationwide retail gasoline prices rose 12 cents, to reach an average $1.96 per gallon.
Drivers in Dallas and Fort Worth have the most expensive gasoline this week in Texas at an average $1.87 per gallon. Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline statewide at an average $1.75 per gallon.
Association experts say prices increased by double digits due to a decline in gasoline supplies, relatively strong demand and continued refinery maintenance.
