Wrong-Way Driver Was Drunk: Police

Two people died in the June 1 crash

The autopsy on a driver whose wrong-way vehicle hit another car head-on on the Dallas North Tollway shows her blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit.

Jenny Hall, 28, of Dallas, whose blood alcohol concentration was 0.29 percent, was killed in the June 1 crash, as was the Addison man in the car she hit, 25-year-old Carl Lotspeich.

Lotspeich's autopsy showed he had marijuana in his system, but Dallas County medical examiner Jeffrey Barnard says Lotspeich could have used the drug up to a day earlier.

The accident was one in a series of recent fatal wrong-way crashes on the expressway. The North Texas Tollway Authority will start installing reflective tape this week on posts that support "wrong way" or "do not enter" signs on toll road offramps.
