Authorities said a 36-year-old South Carolina woman was intoxicated and using her phone when she fatally struck a 53-year-old Crowley motorcyclist head-on in Granbury Sunday afternoon.

David Kevin West was heading north on North Lipan Drive when authorities said a woman driving south in a 2004 Dodge Dakota drifted into the northbound lane and struck him near Loop 567 at about 1:30 p.m.

West's wife was driving a motorcycle behind him and witnessed the crash. Authorities said West was pronounced dead at the scene.
