Woman Leads Dallas County Sheriff's Deputies on Chase With Kids in SUV

Dallas County Sheriff's deputies took a woman into custody early Wednesday morning after she led them on a chase with children in her vehicle.

Authorities said deputies began pursing a dark-colored SUV in Seagoville after the woman failed to stop for speeding.

The majority of the chase took place along the eastbound and westbound U.S 175 service roads between West Stark and West Simonds roads.

Officials said the woman turned into a neighborhood at about 2:30 a.m. and stopped when the road reached a dead end.

Deputies conducted a field sobriety test on the woman, identified later by the sheriff's department as 28-year-old Cristina Urbina, and put her into the back of a squad car.

Authorities said they found two children inside the SUV. The children's grandmother picked them up from the scene.

Urbina has been charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15-years-old and one count of evading arrest detention with a vehicle.  All of the charges are felonies.

At last check, Urbina remains behind bars in the Dallas County Jail.
