Woman Dead in Arlington, Man Turns Himself In

The Arlington Police Department is investigating the death of a woman and questioning a possible relative who turned himself in to police Saturday night.

Someone called 911 at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday to tell police that a woman might be dead at a home in the 400 block of Roberts Circle.

The caller told 911 the person responsible for the woman's death was driving around and threatening suicide.

Officers found a woman in her 50s dead inside the home and were able to contact the man and convince him to turn himself into police.

Jack Daniel Watson Jr., 60 of Arlington, surrendered to Arlington police in a hotel parking lot near State Highway 360 and Abram Street at about 7 p.m. Saturday.

Police said he is in the Arlington City Jail facing a murder charge.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the woman's death and identify her.
