Waxahachie Woman Charged With Deadly I-20 Crash

It is the eighth traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year, police said

Police in Grand Prairie say a woman is charged with intoxication manslaughter after crashing into a man's disabled car, killing him early Friday morning.

Investigators said Donald Clifford II, 32, of Grand Prairie, had been involved in a crash just before 2:45 a.m. in Arlington. He fled the scene of that crash and was driving east on Interstate 20 when his Mazda broke down near the President George Bush Turnpike exit, police said.

Shortly after, 21-year-old Olivia Rehonic, of Waxahachie, collided into the back of the car, which was stuck in the right lane of the freeway. Clifford was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers said Rehonic appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested. She was being held at the Grand Prairie Police Detention Center Friday morning.

Grand Prairie police said they're investigating the fatal crash while Arlington police investigate the crash that happened there.
