The water department says the affected 54-inch water line was located along Beach Street just north of Texas 121. Beach Street was closed between Belknap Street and Texas 121 as a result of the water line break.

Crews were working to fill the hole with concrete as of Friday morning.

Photos and videos on social media showed a large amount of water covering the normally busy street and surrounding parking lots.

There is no word on how many water utility customers were affected.

The cities of North Richland Hills and Watauga issued emergency water conservation notices Wednesday morning following the break. All residents and businesses were asked to use water for emergency purposes, including drinking and flushing for health or sanitation purposes.

The water restrictions were lifted Thursday.
