Vehicles Still Covered in Rubble at Collapsed Parking Garage

Construction workers removed several cars over the weekend from an Uptown Dallas parking garage that partially collapsed Friday.

However, several vehicles remain inside the garage, many covered under rubble.

Residents leaving in rental car shuttles, caution tape and construction workers are what was found at the Renaissance on Turtle Creek condominiums Monday.

The official cause of the collapse is still under investigation, but people who live there told NBC 5 they saw debris and a tarp on the top floor of the parking garage before the collapse.

No one was hurt and Turtle Creek management is helping people get around the city.

“My car is stuck on the sixth floor, and they are shuttling people over to the car rental place,” resident Chad Comroe said. “They’re paying for it, so it’s not on us.”

Members of Turtle Creek management would not release much information, but they did say that the situation was no longer dangerous.
