Vehicle of Interest Wanted in Carrollton Murder Case

Carrollton police are searching for a vehicle of interest that may be connected to the murder of a 55-year-old man.

The body of Steve Lehman was found on Nov. 4 after police conducted a welfare check at his home when he didn't show up for work. Police ruled his death a homicide and said they found signs of a struggle.

The Denton County Medical Examiner's office said Lehman died from multiple sharp force injuries.

Carrollton police are searching for a vehicle of interest that may be connected to the murder of a 55-year-old man.

According to detectives, a 2005-2009 maroon or burgundy Chevrolet Equinox with aftermarket chrome wheels and door handles was seen driving near Lehman's home in the 2000 block of East Peters Colony Road the day he was killed.

β€œIt’s very important we get this out there and see if anyone recognizes this vehicle,” said Jolene DeVito, Media Specialist with the Carrollton Police Department. β€œWe want to identify it, figure out why it was in the neighborhood, who was driving it and figure out what if anything it has to do with our investigation.”
