University of Texas at Arlington Has Record Breaking Enrollment Numbers

The University of Texas at Arlington had record-breaking enrollment numbers this semester.

There are 43,939 students enrolled this spring, according to Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board numbers.

Spring enrollment was 2.36 percent higher than last spring semester, with a 28 percent increase over the last five years.

"We've graduated more students than ever this year and we are on track for increasing four-year graduation rates," said Troy Johnson, vice president for enrollment management.

Compared to the 2014-15 school year, there has been a 45 percent increase in degrees awarded.

UTA is ranked No. 126 by U.S. News and World Report for top public universities.
