Uber Driver Arrested After Dragging Officer at Love Field, Police Say

The Dallas Police Department is reporting that an Uber driver has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer Friday at Dallas Love Field Airport.

The officer approaced the vehicle around 6 p.m., according to reports, when he was dragged about 10 feet by the driver's vehicle. 

The driver, identified as 52-year-old Jeffrey Wilks, was arrested in the 6000 block of Denton Drive. Wilks is charged with aggravated assault of a public servant, according to police.

The officer received minor injuries and was checked by paramedics at the scene.
