US Celebrates Oldest Person in the Nation

The United States celebrates the oldest person in the nation who happens to share America's birthday.

Gertrude Weaver was born on July 4, 1898. She turned 116 on Friday.

She celebrated with a birthday cake at a nursing home in Camden, Arkansas.

"I treat everybody the way I want them to treat me," Weaver shared as her secret to living such a long life.

The oldest person in the world is a woman in Japan who is two months older than Gertrude.
