Hurst city council members are considering banning smoking in restaurants, bars and other public places.
Cities like Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth and Southlake already have similar ordinances.
Council members say they will probably not take any serious action until the first of the year.
Meanwhile, Mansfield is re-sparking it's debate of expanding it's smoking limits.
Right now restaurants are required to install separate air purification systems for areas that allow smoking.
But now, city council members want to look at boosting restrictions on restaurant smoking sections.
The council is set to meet Monday to discuss the issue.
