The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two Texas women were killed when the vehicle they were riding in overturned after a tire blow-out on Interstate 35 in southern Oklahoma.
The OHP said Hortencia Mandujano, 35, and Maria Del Carmen Labrada-Miranda, 50, died in the crash Sunday.
Troopers said the two were passengers in a vehicle heading southbound on I-35 near Marietta, Okla. The OHP said the driver told investigators that a tire on the blew out and the vehicle overturned, throwing both victims from the vehicle.
Another passenger is hospitalized in stable condition while the driver and two other passengers were treated and released.
