Two Security Guards Shot Outside of Fort Worth Bar

The shooting followed an "altercation" of some kind.

Two security guards were shot overnight Monday in the parking lot of a bar east of Downtown Fort Worth, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. outside of the Silver Horse Lounge in the 3300 block of E. Lancaster Avenue, just north of the campus of Texas Wesleyan University.

According to Fort Worth, police there was an altercation of some kind in the parking lot and then, soon after, two security guards were shot – one in the neck and the other in the leg.

Video from the scene shows MedStar Mobile Healthcare paramedics working to save the lives of the security officers.

Both were transported to a local hospital, but the extent of their wounds is not yet known.

The suspect in the shooting escaped. Investigators did not immediately release a description of the suspect.
