Two people are in custody after leading police officers and sheriff's deputies on a chase across a portion of Oak Cliff and southern Dallas.

At about 8 a.m. Sunday, police said two people carjacked a hotel valet in the 500 block of South Lamar Street, the location of the downtown Omni Hotel.

Police pursued the carjacked Lamborghini in the 9a.m. hour in the Oak Cliff area after the police helicopter spotted the vehicle.

Dallas police and sheriff's units on the ground and Air 1 followed the car until it stopped on the ramp at the interchange of Interstate 20 and Interstate 45.

Police said the vehicle stopped when the vehicle caught fire and became disabled. The two people were taken into police custody.
