Turner's 25 Points Lead Texas Over Texas Tech 56-41

Freshman Myles Turner scored 25 points, leading Texas to a 56-41 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday night, the Longhorns' third straight win.

Turner was 10-of-13 shooting and also had 12 rebounds and three blocks while easily towering over the smaller Red Raiders.

Texas (17-8, 6-6 Big 12) had its healthiest lineup in weeks as Jonathan Holmes returned after missing 2 1/2 games with a concussion. Holmes played 20 minutes and scored five points.

Texas pulled back to .500 in conference play with three wins against the bottom three teams in the conference. But those matchups are gone.

The next four games are against the top four in the Big 12.

Robert Turner scored 10 to lead Texas Tech (12-14, 2-11), which has lost 19 consecutive games in Austin since 1996 and are now at the bottom of the Big 12 standings.
