Train Crashes into Car in Fort Worth

Two women were injured when a train slammed into their car early Friday morning in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth fire crews said the driver tried to outrun the train in the 2300 block of Hemphill just after 1 a.m. The train hit car, which was stuck on the tracks, and flipped it onto its side.

The two women inside the car got out and ran to a nearby convenience store, where officers later found them and called for paramedics.

The women's injuries were not life-threatening.
