Toddler Struck in Hit-and-Run in Fort Worth

Fort Worth police are investigating a report of a hit-and-run involving a toddler.[[307706121,C]]

Officers confirm a black car struck a three-year-old boy in the 3900 block of Freddie Street, then drove away.

It happened just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The toddler ran out into the street to retrieve a toy when he was hit, according to officers on the scene.

MedStar said they transported the child to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.

The toddler's condition is unknown at this time. Officials said the boy was awake and breathing.
