Three Injured When Car Drives Into Subway Sandwich Shop

Three people were injured when a driver ran into a Garland Subway sandwich shop Thursday.

It happened in the 100 block of South First Street near Avenue A.

Garland Police spokesman Joe Harn says the elderly driver of a red car hit the gas instead of the brake and drove into the building.

Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Harn said the driver was not hurt.

An adult and two children ages 15 and 9 were injured, Harn said the injuries weren't serious and they were being checked out as a precaution.
