Two Deadly Motel Shootings in North Dallas

Two deadly motel shootings on the same block near the High 5.

Dallas police are investigating four murders that occurred at two different North Dallas motels over the weekend.

A quiet Sunday evening for guests at the Red Roof Inn at 13685 North Central Expressway was shattered when bullets whizzed by outside their rooms.

Dallas police said a domestic dispute led to the gunfire.

"It started outside as far as we know it remained on the sidewalk,” said Sgt. Michael Felini, with the Dallas police. β€œDuring the altercation, that's when guns were drawn."

Two men were shot, one of them fatally.

Police gathered evidence and reviewed surveillance video Sunday night. Authorities towed a red Chevrolet truck belonging to one of the victims.

All of this comes a day after a cleaning crew discovered three people shot inside a Motel 6 just down the road from this latest shooting.

The victims are identified Marco Barajas, 27, Manases Perez, 26,and Ingrid Ramirez, 22.

β€œAt this time we have no reason to believe that there is a connection between the two incidents at all,” Felini said.

Dallas police do say both cases remain under investigation.

Both motels sit just north of the interchange of Central Expressway and I-635 LBJ Freeway.
