Thousands Without Power After ONCOR Fire, Equipment Failure

A fire at an ONCOR facility and equipment failure left more than 3,000 customers without power in two North Texas cities Thursday night.

The ONCOR outage map showed two abnormally large outages for a non-stormy night.

One in North Oak Cliff and the other in Farmers Branch, which affected more than 3,800 customers.

The North Oak Cliff outage was caused by a fire at an ONCOR facility.

The Farmers Branch outage has been blamed on equipment failure.

Both situations have been repaired and customers' power is currently being restored.

Most customers were without power for a short time.
