Texas Mother Threatens to Kick Out Son, 7, Because He Voted For Trump at School

Fort Bend County sheriff's officials call a video of a Texas mother kicking her 7-year-old son out of the house because he voted for Donald Trump at school "absolutely disgusting."

In the video, you could hear the mother shouting at the boy.

"Since you voted for Donald Trump, you can get your s--t and get out! The suitcase is packed by the door," she's heard yelling. "Been packed since this morning."

The mother posted the video to her Facebook page, which got shared nearly 200,000 times, according to NBC Houston affiliate KPRC.

The video was eventually seen by Child Protective Services, Fort Bend Independent School District and the Sheriff's Office.

The mother has claimed to detectives that it was a joke since posting it on Facebook.

However, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is taking it seriously.[[401198036,C]]

"If we can find a criminal violation of law, I will personally arrest her myself," Sheriff Troy Nehls said to KRPC.

Nehls said Fort Bend County District Attorney John Healey will determine if criminal charges will be filed.

The woman's identity has not been revealed.

KPRC's Brandon Walker contributed to this report.
