Texas Man Gets 40 Years in Prison for Child Pornography

A 38-year-old suburban Houston man has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to producing and possessing child pornography.

James Kelly Hilton, of Spring, pleaded guilty Aug. 14 and appeared Thursday before U.S. District Judge Alfred Bennett for sentencing. Bennett imposed a 30-year term for the production charge and another 10 years for possessing child pornography. The sentences are to run consecutively. Hilton also has been ordered to pay $62,500 in restitution to multiple victims.

Prosecutors say the mother of a victim contacted authorities in April after finding a digital photo card with images of Hilton sexually violating her daughter. FBI agents subsequently found nearly 1,000 images and five videos of child pornography on the card, plus another more than 400 images on his cellphone.
