Texas Man Sentenced 29 Years for Child Porn

A Houston-area man has been sentenced to 29 years in prison in a child pornography case linked to an online chat with an undercover officer in New Mexico.

A federal judge in Galveston on Wednesday sentenced 32-year-old Travis James McReynolds, of Pearland.

McReynolds, in November, pleaded guilty to production and distribution of child pornography. Officers in Oct., 2012, seized computers and more than 150 child porn images and videos from his home.

Investigators said McReynolds was unaware that he was communicating with an undercover officer in New Mexico when he sent images of child porn. Authorities said McReynolds also provided a short video clip, which he produced, showing a girl acting in a lewd manner.

The victim's mother testified that McReynolds took away her daughter's innocence.
