Texas Book Festival Announces Lineup

The Texas Book Festival has announced more than 275 authors are heading to the event this fall -- the largest lineup in the festival's 19-year history.

The full lineup for the Oct. 25-26 event in Austin was announced Wednesday. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend.

Steph Opitz, the festival's literary director, says they didn't set out to make it bigger, but had "so many fantastic submissions" that they made more room.

The festival hit 250 authors in 2011 and has stayed at about that number up till this year.

Headliners include Martin Amis, known for novels including "Money," as well as Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright.

Opitz also says it's the "year of the chef," with 12 cookbooks featured from chefs including Lidia Bastianich.
