Terrance Black Preliminary Hearing Date Set

Preliminary hearing set for Aug. 16

The attorney for accused murderer Terrance Black met with prosecutors at a brief hearing at a Collin County courthouse Thursday.

The meeting was to hash out a preliminary hearing date for the case against Black, which is now set for Aug. 16.

Black is accused of killing his former girlfriend, fitness instructor Susan Loper, and dumping her body in a remote area of Frisco off the Dallas North Tollway.

After Loper was killed, Black fled the state and was later arrested by Park Rangers after jumping into the Grand Canyon.

Black, who was seriously injured after his jump, remains in the Collin County jail.
