Teens Accused of Robbing Home While Family Buries Son

Three teenagers have been arrested, accused of burglarizing the home of a Fort Worth family while they attended a family funeral.

The Star-Telegram reports Gabriel Hugo Munoz, 19, Gilbert Rodriquez Jr., 17 and a 16-year-old, whose name is being withheld because he is a juvenile, looted Eric Trevino's parent's home while they attended his funeral.

The trio told police they targeted the home because they knew the family would be at the funeral.

"Through interviews that were conducted by Detective [Frank] Serra, we were able to confirm that the sole reason for targeting the house was the fact that the arrested individuals knew that the family would be at the funeral," Sgt. Pedro Criado, a police spokesman, told the paper.

Trevino, a Trimble Tech baseball standout, was killed in a car crash earlier this month.
