Teen Discusses Being Handcuffed by McKinney Police

A teen who was at a McKinney pool party where video captured a police officer manhandling another teen and drawing his gun recounted her experience about being handcuffed by police in an interview with MSNBC.

Grace Stone said she and her friends were heading toward the Craig Ranch North community pool when two women and a man directed racial slurs at them.

"He said to go back to Section 8 housing and get out of my neighborhood," she said.

Stone admitted to speaking rudely to the adults because of the way they talked to her, but said she was not rude with the police officers that arrived to break up the party.

"When we went up to him and asked him what was wrong, he said there were too many people and that we needed to leave," she said about the officers who placed her in handcuffs, but did not arrest her.

McKinney Police Department Cpl. Eric Casebolt was placed on administrative leave after a partygoer captured him pushing a teen girl to the ground and pointing his gun at two others while breaking up the party.

Stone's father Donnie admitted he was initially upset with his daughter when he arrived and saw her in handcuffs. After seeing the video, though, he quickly changed his mind.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis released a statement Tuesday afternoon that said his office is awaiting the results of the McKinney Police Department's internal investigation and is committed to "seeking justice and protecting all members of our community."
