Tarrant County Man Gets Life in Prison for Aggravated Assault

A Tarrant County jury sentenced Aaron Sebastian Redmond to life in prison plus two 10-year prison terms

A Tarrant County man received a life sentence for aggravated assault of a family member causing serious bodily injury, tampering with evidence, and retaliation.

Aaron Sebastian Redmond was sentenced to life in prison in addition to two 10-year prison terms by a Tarrant County jury.

Redmond was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon/family violence after barricading himself and his 3-year-old son in his home for four hours last year.

Redmond brought his wife to a Mansfield Fire stations to get her medical assistance for injuries he claimed she sustained from falling, according to Mansfield police. Further investigation led police to believe that her injuries were sustained during a domestic dispute with Redmond at their home.

Police officers then went to Redmond's residence near the 1100 block of Doubletree Lane. Redmond barricaded himself inside the home with his son, but was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
