Tarrant County College Opens $20 Million Aviation Facility

Tarrant County College unveils a new $20 million facility Wednesday.

The Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics opens at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth and will house all of the college's aviation programs.

The programs were previously conducted at the college's Northwest Campus.

"These programs are critical as this region has more than four times the national average of aviation jobs, but a shortage of pilots has been forecast for both the northern region and the state of Texas," the college said in a statement on their website.

The college will teach avionics technology, airframe maintenance, advanced composite technology and pilot training at the 163,000-square-foot facility.
