A suspicious box found outside of a Marine recruiter's office in McKinney turned out to be harmless.
The box was found at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday in front of the office on the 2400-block of West University.
Investigators determined the box was placed there by an adjacent business who had been using the box as a doorstop.
Police closed the shopping center and one lane of U.S. Highway 380 during the investigation.
