Stun Gun Used to Disable Man After Leading Pantego Police on a Chase

A man is in custody after leading Pantego police on a chase into Fort Worth Tuesday morning.

According to police, the chase started after a traffic stop in Pantego. While the officer was running a background check on the driver, who had at least one active warrant, the driver sped away.

The driver, whose name has not yet been released, eventually bailed out of his car near Deer Trail and Sun Meadow Lane in Fort Worth and tried to elude police on foot not far from where he lived.

Pantego officers closed in on the man and used a stun gun to disable him and take him into custody.

No injuries were reported in connection with the chase.

Police have not yet said what the man was wanted for and what additional charges he may face.
